Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence Terms of Use

About these terms

These are Provider-Specific Terms that supplement the Bonterms Standard End User Agreement, Version 1.0 (the "Standard Agreement"). The Standard Agreement governs your use of Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence and is incorporated by reference, except where these Provider-Specific Terms expressly override or supplement it. Where a provision of these Provider-Specific Terms conflicts with the Standard Agreement, these Provider-Specific Terms prevail to the extent of the conflict, and in all other respects the Standard Agreement continues to apply. Capitalised terms used and not defined here have the meanings given to them in the Standard Agreement. Who we are

Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence is provided by Cloudscript Pty Ltd (ABN 14 700 662 362) ("we", "us"), as a plugin available on the Atlassian Marketplace for Forge. By installing or using Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence, you agree to these terms.

The service

Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence is a Confluence Cloud macro. It renders a technology-adoption radar from a blip list that you paste into the macro configuration as CSV or JSON, accepting both the Thoughtworks build-your-own-radar CSV convention and the Zalando radar.js JSON dialect. The radar is drawn client-side as a quadrant chart directly in the Confluence page, with movement markers and a numbered legend grouped by quadrant and ring. Blips may carry same-site links that open the referenced Confluence content. The macro can export the radar to PDF or Word as a structured table by quadrant and ring, and offers a client-side download of the chart as an image. The app runs with no Forge scopes and makes no network requests to any host outside Atlassian, and it stores nothing outside Confluence's own page content.

Access and licensing

Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence is licensed through the Atlassian Marketplace under Atlassian's standard marketplace terms for Forge apps. Your use of Atlassian's host product (Confluence) remains subject to your separate agreement with Atlassian.

Restrictions on use

Except as expressly permitted by these terms or by Atlassian's marketplace terms for Forge apps, you must not: reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence; resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or redistribute Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence outside the Atlassian Marketplace; use Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence to build a competing product or service; remove or obscure any proprietary notice in Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence; or use Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence in a manner that breaches Atlassian's acceptable use policies for the host product.

Intellectual property

Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence, including its source code, design, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Cloudscript Pty Ltd and its licensors. These terms grant you a licence to use Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence as described above; they do not transfer any ownership or intellectual property rights to you.

Third-party and open-source components

Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence is built on the Atlassian Forge platform and includes the following third-party runtime components: React and React DOM, used for the macro's user interface, which are licensed under the MIT Licence; and the Atlassian Forge SDK packages @forge/bridge (frontend) and @forge/api (used by the export function for a server-side licence read), which are provided by Atlassian under Atlassian's developer terms. The radar itself is rendered without any charting library (no d3 or equivalent dependency); its geometry is implemented directly in the app's own source.

Security Measures

This section sets out the security posture specific to Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence and supplements the security provisions of the Standard Agreement. As described under "The service" above, the app declares no Forge permission scopes, makes no network request to any host outside Atlassian's platform, and operates no data store of its own. Because there is no Cloudscript-operated server, database, or storage in this app's path, there is no separate Cloudscript-operated store or transmission path for this app to secure.

The platform-level and vendor-level practices that apply to the app (Atlassian Forge's own sandboxing and egress controls, multi-factor authentication on the developer and publishing accounts, and Cloudscript's vulnerability-handling process) are described in the site-wide Security Policy at https://cloudscript.io/security and are not restated here.

Data Processing Addendum

A Data Processing Addendum (DPA), where applicable, is issued as Schedule 1 to these Provider-Specific Terms. No DPA forms part of this agreement. The data-protection characterisation for the app concludes that Cloudscript acts as a software supplier, and not as a GDPR processor or a CCPA service provider, for the app, and that no DPA is warranted. If a DPA is later required, or is elected for commercial reasons, it will be issued as Schedule 1 to these terms and this page will be updated to reference it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Termination

Your licence to use Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence ends when you uninstall it or when the licence lapses. The app operates no data store of its own and makes no external network requests, so there is no app-side data for it to delete on uninstall. The blip list, any format override, and any quadrant-colour selections are held as part of your own Confluence page content (the macro's native parameters), and their retention after uninstall is governed by Confluence's own page and version-history lifecycle, not by this app. For how this data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

Except as expressly stated in these terms, Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cloudscript Pty Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of Tech Adoption Radar for Confluence, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any guarantee, warranty, or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales (NSW), Australia. New South Wales is the practice's standard governing-law position recorded in the Cloudscript legal profile, and is adopted here on that basis rather than derived independently for this app.
